John Legend ~Evolver~

October 28, 2008 marked the release date for John Legend's 3rd LP, Evolver. Following the success of his first two LP's, Once Again, and Get Lifted, Legend allows his formula for letting his music captivate his audience on his new and highly anticipated 3rd album Evolver. This album has plenty of feel good tracks, and also a wealth of emotional tracks. The Good Morning Intro provides the listener a great wake up track. This track awakens the listener to the CD. It serves as a preparation for the greatness of this CD. Green Light and It's Over are two songs that get the good feeling going on this CD. Green Light features Andre 3000, and It's Over features Kanye West. Both of these artist put their official stamp on the tracks, making them hits that you will definitely hear in the clubs and on mainstream radio. These tracks provide the listener the stability and the space to open up and really enjoy and go for the ride this CD will take you on as a listener. The CD provides the listener the opportunity to Fall In love if not for the first time, for the second, or third time. Duets with Brandy Norwood on Quickly allow the desperation of love to captivate the listener and give the listener grounds to express themselves openly to the person of their interest. Satisfactions seems to give more leverage in being comfortable with love for the listener. The entire CD is relaxing. Good Morning is a continuation of the intro, and it continues with the smooth groove and beautiful lyrics of Legend. The Grammy Award winning artist perfectly titled this album, by naming it Evlover. Anybody listening to this album can tell that John Legend has evolved as an artist, expanding his vocal and creative ability, while still maintaining the attributes that made him the artist that he is today. This CD is a must have for any lover of beautiful R & B/Soul Ballads.

The 2008 Election...What Has It Become ?

Politics ! Its the one thing that has been a forever constant in this country that we call the United States of America. Politics has been the one constant changer of our country. The foundations, ideas, customs, practices, and beliefs of this country have stemmed from the political views of not only the founding fathers of this country, but of the fathers of other nations around the world that had a stake in the development of the United States and its present state as of today. The year 2008 has seen history be made within the world of United States politics. The candidacy for president is ran for by two uniquely shaped, yet tremendously different individuals. These two individuals represent America and its most diverse aspects. Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama has become the first Black American to become a presidential hopeful for The United States of America. Republican John McCain is a representative of the war hero veteran that has staked his claim for a presidential nomination. These two individuals have captivated not only the American public, but a great deal of the world, as the time ticks away for one of these two men to take over the seat of President of the United States. This historic election has also brought out the worst in people as well. Many of the racist, idiotic, and small minded individuals and ideas that were thought to have been ousted with the abolition of segregation and the "improvement" of race relations have resurfaced with a resounding effect. When an individual is looking at this election initially, the first thing seen is race. Barack a black man, and McCain a white man are going for an office position. the second thing that comes into play is the actual substance of each individual. Now many individuals in this country know good substance and bad substance, yet they allow factor number 1 (race) to stifle their understanding of factor number 2. This is one of the things that may seem to undoubtedly decided this election. People will know the right decision to make, yet they will allow other non precipitating factors to decide this election. The last couple of days have seen many instances of sick people displaying their disdain for the "possibility" of a black president. The recent asassanation plot has been one of many attempts to discourage the "possibility" of a black president. Everybody in politics and those that study politics know that any politician is and will say things that seem to be right, but in most cases once he or she is elected will begin their work in left field, contrary to what he or she said they would be doing if elected. The major concern is the fact that there are individuals that make it a point to kill and display hate, yet they will support another politician, and not even fully evaluate the ideas and thoughts shared by the politicians. Neither Barack nor McCain are perfect individuals. They both have many flaws and have both had a part in the current crisis here in the United States of America. The one thing that individuals voting in this election have to ask themselves is why are they voting for the person that they are voting for. Is the reason race related, factual evidence related, or simply popularity related. Race, religious beliefs, and family background are three factors that would seem to hold the most weight in deciding in who to vote for in an election. Although these factors are so very important, a person has to look at the cases being presented by both candidates, and evaluate how these cases would or would not effect their lives. This I believe would lead to a decision being made, that most individuals (not all) would be able to make and accept. My question to the public is what do you think this 2008 Presidential Election has evolved into becoming ?
